It is the most beautiful time of the year and we can’t wait to see you all agin this autumn!
Thank You to everyone who came to our Youth Film Premiere last weekend – it was a fantastic evening, with lovely response and comments about what our young film makers had achieved this summer – a beautiful, chilling athmospheric 18min film – which we will screen again in November – and it is going to Totnes Transition Film Festival as well http://transitionfilmfestival.org.uk/
We would also like to welcome lovely Jane Black who will be working at Jellyfish from October. She will be a great asset to everything we do and would like to do the coming months!

Film Study Group / Film Screening Friday 16th of Oct from 7pm:
With our wonderful Life Drawing Exhibition on display, we thought that the beautiful, sensual film “Woman in the Dunes” by Hiroshi Teshigahara (1964) is the perfect film to screen and talk about this month.
An entomologist searching for insects by the seaside is trapped by local villagers into living with a widow whose life task is digging up sand for them. He eventually develops strong feelings for her as his hope for escape dims.
Entry £3 – bar open and there will be an intro at 7.20pm. You are most welcome to stay for discussion after the film:)
Parent Support Group by Joanna Watters (fortnightly)
From Wednesday the 30th of September at 9.30-11.30am.
The purpose of this group is to create a safe held adult place which recognises how demanding (as well as wonderful) parenting young children is, so that the “pinch points” can be shared without judgement, and given attention to help you understand more deeply why they happen and how you might respond differently. And also to offer a space for affirming and celebrating how well you are doing. We will practise deep listening – to each other and to ourselves, and I will give enquiries and guidance to support that.
We will not have childcare – so it’s an adult only space (unless someone is coming with a pre-walking baby – in which case let me know).
It will be offered on a donation basis.
The Seed Talks and mini workshops every Thursday at 7.30 – 9.30pm.
The Seed Talks are back and starts Thursday the 1st of October with:
Belinda Martin – Community Food
Belinda, a member of Food Forever and manager of Waycott’s Orchard, which supports volunteers, the food bank and Nature’s Round, is looking for ways to achieve local food sustainability.
This evening will include a short film called
Eating our Landscape, with Pam Warhorse of Incredible Edibles,
showing what their town has accomplished. There will be an opportunity for sharing ideas.
Cost £3 including refreshments.
The Seed Talks will be at Jellyfish every Thursday from 7.30-9.30pm. Contact Derek Lapworth on 644010

Yoga Classes Wednesday evenings:
Every Wednesday from 6 -7.30pm with Kim Edwards:
An end of day yoga class to restore and strengthen us in body, mind and spirit.
With a focus on good, comfortable posture and breathing; strength and stability of core muscles; safe practice; overall integrity (physical emotional mental spiritual)
Over the course of a lifetime our needs change. The breadth and depth of yoga practices available to us means that yoga remains a lifelong practice. Research shows that in the long term yoga is more effective than other therapies in helping to maintain physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. With 25 years of teaching experience as a qualified yoga teacher and therapist and many years more of my own yoga practice, I aim to support each person as they explore yoga as a way of meeting their ever changing, individual needs.
For additional information please contact Kim on 07792 910 785 or 01364 644613
