Unique Summer Concert with Harp Guitar & Classical Guitar by Jon Pickard:
Friday 22nd of July:

Jon Pickard – Harp guitar & Classical Guitar – this is going to be a real magic summer concert! An intimate evening of Spanish, Latin American & Celtic music.
Doors open 7pm for 7.30pm start. £10 per ticket through Jellyfish or online: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/356295

Jon has pursued a career as a freelance performer. He has performed for concerts, festivals and special events across the UK and Northern Europe. At Jellyfish in July Jon will not only be playing Guitar music from Spain and Latin America – he will also be performing on a most unusual instrument, a 23 string Harp Guitar, designed and commissioned by himself.
Harp guitars have a long and fascinating history. Although they are quite rare today, they were played extensively in music halls at the turn of the 20th century and have been enjoying something of an underground renaissance for the last few decades, mostly in North America. They produce an amazing, lush, resonant sound, and as a new composer for the instrument Jon will play some of his own music and also some esoteric Celtic inspired works by other composers. A rare treat not to be missed!

Yoga Classes Wednesday evenings:
Every Wednesday from 6 -7.30pm with Kim Edwards:

An end of day yoga class to restore and strengthen us in body, mind and spirit.
With a focus on good, comfortable posture and breathing; strength and stability of core muscles; safe practice; overall integrity (physical emotional mental spiritual)
Over the course of a lifetime our needs change. The breadth and depth of yoga practices available to us means that yoga remains a lifelong practice. Research shows that in the long term yoga is more effective than other therapies in helping to maintain physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. With 25 years of teaching experience as a qualified yoga teacher and therapist and many years more of my own yoga practice, I aim to support each person as they explore yoga as a way of meeting their ever changing, individual needs.
